I genuinely wonder if he knows he's lying half the time anymore. They're definitely showing him tons of AI slop videos of big strong patriotic first responders doing heroic stuff, he might have seen something like this and believes it happened to him
Show PostSeriously, the proper response to someone admitting to using generative AI in their writing is “wow it must suck to be so lazy and untalented, have you considered doing something you’re actually suited to”
Show Post"Nothing is so intolerable to man as being fully at rest, without passion, without business, without entertainment, without care. It is then that he recognizes that he is empty, insufficient, dependent, ineffectual. From the depths of his soul now comes at once boredom...and despair." —Blaise Pascal
Show PostExactly. As it is, they sound like they’re on drugs or in a cult or otherwise engaged in some kind of grandiose delusion. Break it down for us. It shouldn’t be hard. Like I said, I can imagine some scary scenarios even with minimal information, but none of them reach the level of human extinction.
Show PostIf we accept these statements as earnest rather than capital raising rhetoric, it would be helpful if they described the scenarios they fear that might “kill all of humanity.” Some come to my mind that could result in mass death, but I’m curious about exactly what humanity-ending risks they foresee.
