an aside but i also cannot help but note the trump administration leaning heavy into the kennedy mystique and a romanticized conception of midcentury americana while simultaneously annihilating all of the policies, programmes, and ideas that kennedy actually stood for
Show Postjfk is no longer a flesh and blood man, someone who held convictions, that was a product of his era, that had good and bad ideas. he's a brand, a mascot, something that spits out vague aphorisms and slots neatly into the america's pantheon of presidents.

This is all very fucking strange. Trump starting a trade war with Mexico and China was always on my bingo sheet, there is a lot of racism involved with each of those. Canada was never on the map during the campaign and now he seems gung-ho about it.
