The thing a lot of cis Brits ignore is that there is no “dignified and respectful” way to ask trans people to segregate ourselves: it’s inherently insulting and degrading. So if you do that in a workplace you piss off not just your queer employees but also anyone who knows and loves a queer person!

Obviously the British military + civil service segregating trans employees is horrific morally but presumably it’s also a security risk cause a bunch of people with access to potentially sensitive info now have strong incentive to leak it, or are vulnerable to blackmail by hostile powers?

3) this is yet another instance of Vance treating a native-born but nonwhite American as if they are foreign born. 4) it is vance who should be greatful that anyone ever bothered to treat him like he might do some good in the world (they were wrong of course)
