FWIW, one change which is occurring that most practicing lawyers don't know is the shift to the NextGen Bar exam in most states—an exam less based on memorization and more on lawyering skills by providing a statute, some cases, and a client scenario and asking the applicant to provide advice.

To the extent WI diploma privilege works, it helps that the WI Supreme Court only needs to be in dialogue with two law schools to ensure they're educating them well and not advancing inferior students. There's also a heavier core curriculum than generally required. 1/2
