Personally I aim for 5% but my portfolio always contains one or two lower income hunches intended to generate some bonus capital growth. Sometimes these hunches work out and sometimes they don’t. If you avoid this temptation I think you could realistically target 7% from REITs and renewables.

Yes, I started the NAPS in 2022 after a great start to my investing career then a disastrous end when the market wobbled after the post covid uplift . I also ways start the year with buying the naps bit often meddle with it. I don’t keep losers and I usually end up with a slight beat or a level
