Born 1 Oct 1920, actor Walter Matthau. He starred in 10 films alongside his real-life friend Jack Lemmon, including The Odd Couple (1968) & Grumpy Old Men (1993). The New York Times called this 1 of Hollywood's most successful pairings. I always loved him in The Taking of Pelham 123. #WalterMatthau
