Individuals already make the calculation of the tradeoffs between the various QOL factors like weather, jobs, housing, transit, density, schools, dating, amenities, etc, and that gets averaged across many different people into a single number called “rent”. You can’t just go “nah, they’re wrong”.

I found it amusing that Anthropic tracks “hours worked by AI agents” as a metric. This is even sillier than lines of code as a productivity metric. Why not also count hours worked by cron jobs, database migration scripts and compilers while you’re at it? 🙄
