The FT reports 47 major US data center projects delayed or blocked in 2026. It’s estimated only 35% of the pipeline is credible. Microsoft also pulled out of Nscale’s UK project amid power delays stretching into the 2030s. Some AI infrastructure companies may not survive these delays.

According to the Bank of England, when I started working what is now a 100k job was a 59k job. And the problems around the 100k mark for parents is very bad for literally no benefit (it probably just costs everyone in the long run). So I don't understand people who get apoplectic about it.

The really bad thing about these changes is they don’t engage with the real reason for self-employment and subcontracting - tax. There are no employers NI contributions on self employed sub contractors! Painting this as about rights misses why it’s good for both sides!
