THE FAMILY MAN with Nicolas Cage and Tea Leone is on my Christmas rotation. Not every year, but close. It's a simple premise. We've seen variations of it many times, but the writing, the moments, the performances, and the sincerity are all top-notch. I love this movie. #scriptsky

One of my favorite quotes on screenwriting: "At the top of my computer in big, bold letters, it says, ‘What is the simple emotional journey?’ I look at that all the time." Thanks, @billyray5229.bsky.social for sharing that in an interview you did years ago. I've always remembered it. #scriptsky

Just finished a cool two-season pitch proposal for a Yellowjackets-structured thriller. Whether it is picked up or not, I could definitely see myself writing it one way or another, even as a novel. It is backed by a hefty chunk of fascinating research. #scriptsky

So proud to announce that today I actually sat down and wrote one word, deleted it, then wrote the same word again. #scriptsky
