This is such a cool conference! I'm super happy to be here in Airolo. Looking forward to the presentations of the last day, and hopefully another little hike in the Swiss mountains before heading back home :)

Beautiful paper that shows how the staggered introduction of postal voting closed the gender gap in voting among more vs less conservative swiss cantons. Inspired by the beautiful movie "c'è ancora domani" I love that movie and I still cry when I think about it!!

Super clever paper showing the unintended consequences of badly designed fertility incentives in Spain: in order to qualify for the money (that stopped the 31st of December) parents have early deliveries at the end of the year but then end up having kids with slightly less health and human capital

I loved this paper and talked with the authors during a beautiful hike among the fog and the rain the morning before the start of the conference. They leverage blood biomarkers to create a powerful biological aging measure that explains part of healthcare utilization inequality and mortality.
