This is just spreading the same kind of anti-intellectualism that the people you hate spread. They also get their beliefs from pop culture. That image isn't even from the Dark Ages, it's from the Spanish Inquisition, well after the Dark Ages. Spreading misinformation isn't useful or helpful.

Not only that. The times used to be called dark also saw a marked reduction in inequality. Well explained in this book.
