I spend a lot of time in record shops... and I'd add a lot of money. But hey, LPs make me happy. Like my mom used to say: "If something makes you happy, go ahead, you're on the right track." Find of the day: Lanois, Roger & Brian Eno's Apollo. Ambient music that feels like floating in space. Superb.

New Vinyl Wednesday II: The Unboxing Hot damn, wow. I've been enamored of Reckoning since freshman year (roommate played it on repeat) Never had my own until now. Fantastic addition to my collection. Saving this for when the Zephyr cart comes back from SoundSmith #postpunk #80s #vinyl #musicsky

Paul Simon's 1972 album. Love it. One of his best. For a long time, I thought it was his solo debut. Actually, it's his 1st post-Simon & Garfunkel LP… but he released one in 1965. It's witty, intimate (even though the reggae-tinged opener, Mother and Child Reunion, is quite bouncy). Timeless record.
