obviously jyl and jc weren't abused, madame yu is one of those child abusers who only abuses children with bad vibes and is a doting and completely normal and healthy parent to her other children (sarcasm)

you know, in most cultures, children struggle to stop their siblings from being abused given they are also being abused by the same abuser. i think this is simply a failure of logic.

i understand that a lot of bad interpretations of mdzs are built off of a lack of cultural understanding but i think attributing "why did abused children not stop their abuser from abusing their sibling" to white ignorance abt filial piety rather than a lack of common sense is too much credit.
