I feel like sometimes people feel as though relationships of all stripes, friendships included, must last forever. That's dumb. Friendships, relationships, all of them can taper off and it isn't necessarily anyone's fault.

#askbox If you mean just the natural ebbs and flows of relationships, sure. Over time people can grow further apart for no reason other than that they are headed in different directions. I don't believe it's inevitable, but it can be perfectly natural.
