Yeah, I mean at least beyond a certain point actual child molestation has always been taboo, but rape of adult women is just genuinely normative
Show PostWhen can we talk about misogyny as a political project? As THE political glue that links participants in fascist movements across race, class, sexuality, religion, you name it? How many Cornell 7s or Acton ads will there have to be until Americans get it?
Show PostI've watched ppl on here claim "racism includes misogyny." That is a direct quote. The refusal to recognize bigotry against women--incl women you don't like, women who are rich, women who are white, women who vote MAGA--has blinded nearly everyone with a platform or political power to the danger.
Show PostFor my entire lifetime, I have watched as political organizers and leaders--including those who called themselves "progressive"--told women that misogyny was a side issue, as nothing compared to the only real social problems in America: class war and racism.
Show Post"Men who hate women" is the coalition that wins elections for MAGA: it spans race, class & other categories that otherwise divide men. There aren't enough rich chodes or gutter racists to win, but there are enough misogynists. That's why they're doubling down on this seemingly self-destructive ad.
