Words really do not go far enough. I met my girlfriend and some of my best friends because of Dragon Age. BioWare games sparked my imagination like nothing else. Thank you to everyone who worked on them and fuck EA now and forever

Less than 12 weeks ago, EA was effectively purchased by Saudi Arabia and Donald Trump's son-in-law for $55B in a deal that saddled the company with around $20B in debt. 12 weeks. That's how long it took for them to shutter a decades-old studio in BioWare and deem people surplus to requirements.

Devastated for BioWare, and the end of the Mass Effect franchise. I'd heard bits of what the next game would be about that sounded promising. It was being built by staff who worked on the original trilogy or grew up adoring it. I'm gutted the series will never get a chance at a return to form.
