Such sad news. I was lucky to share several years with Emili in the @geneticsub.bsky.social , as well as conferences and many good moments. I will remember him very fondly. My thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues.

Prof. Emili Saló has passed away. He devoted his career to the study of planarians, contributing to establishing them as the model they are today. A wonderful mentor and teacher, he was passionate about science and, above all, will be remembered for his warmth and humanity.
