I say this because this is something I’ve had to do with my *own* kids. In the context of coparenting, I’m arguably the more stern parent, but through the lens of society in general, I’d still be considered a gentle parent. I don’t use corporal punishment in any situation for any reason.

had a rough day emotionally and my ex husband took me out for tacos and margs to let me talk things out. as mad as I will be at that man for the rest of my days, it took a lot of work to get to this point. I'm grateful to have a healthy coparenting friendship that benefits our kids. it was worth it.

And i cant ruin that by ending the marriage... and no amount of amazing coparenting that we would do, will make up for no longer being a squad... So the only way to make that work is to be him & the husband my wife wants & needs. Which is impossible for me to actually do... 4/
