I've worked with a few people whose kids estranged themselves and it's wild how some parents act like they're losing a favorite toy instead of another human. Like, make it more obvious your kids are props, why don't you.

Every time they do this story there are parents who say they just don’t understand why it’s happening. Then you read their stories and it turns out their children told them exactly why it’s happening, clearly and often- they just refused to change behavior or take accountability.
