Recently, someone asked me what was the perfect album for a jazz neophyte. Two titles came to mind. Kind of Blue. And this one. Freddie Hubbard on trumpet is superb but the tight rhythm section of Ron Carter and Tony Williams is remarkable. Accessible, timeless. And a perfect Saturday evening LP.
