I agree and would add: separating the failures by cause (harness, tokenizer, model, organizational incentives) and not treating it like a black box. You can learn a lot about anything by breaking and fixing it. From the coding school of ‘Googling the error message’

I mean, I dreamed of doing cool things! Astronaut, then paleontologist (Jurassic Park phase), then physicist. I didn’t dream of having a “job” insofar as I didn’t dream about getting paid or having a boss or whatnot. But I absolutely dreamed about filling my days being awesome.
