📸 Baryte from Lochwinnoch The Muirsheils Mine, near Lochwinnoch, was worked for baryte for 200 years and at its peak employed 48 people. The baryte occurs in veins in the fractured margins of the Misty Law Trachyte and was used as a lubricant and a white pigment. #MineralMonday #ScottishGeology
