Walked past this beautiful blanketflower (native to the western US) growing in an empty lot where an old building burned down a couple of years ago. Couldn't resist collecting some seeds. 😬 I imagine this is technically private property but God knows whatever equity firm owns the lot won't care.

I am an outlier. I started my current job in April of 2025. I calulated how many vacation days and PTO I would need to reserve to take both this year's and next year's World Cups off fully paid. Nailed it this year. Knowing this, I can plan my sick days (I know, I know) and nail it next year, too.
