No problem! Though, seeing that profile, the small mixing ratio value could be a bad assumption here. I’m surprised the profile can be that close to saturation, but the BUFR won’t output anything other than MISSING past that. Hmmmm. Could always experiment with using a constant value from last lvl

Your other option is to make your ECAPE calculations only dependent on base state variables like mixing ratio, cutting dewpoint out of the equation entirely. I’m sure you still want the dewpoint trace to be displayed through the whole profile though.

Where your dewpoint is missing, you can assume a very small (but non-zero) mixing ratio or relative humidity and recalculate the dewpoint. Or, if you have mixing ratio/specific/relative humidity, then you could clamp it to MAX(cal, some_small_number)
