Definitely, though I think that speaks to the appeal of AI girlfriends/companions more than it is AI deepfakes of celebrities/real women.

When I was young and stupid having a woman you found attractive take an interest in you was a pretty powerful drug. If the fake version gives half that hit, I can see people getting hooked. And actually, when I was on Facebook / Instagram I got a lot of onlyfans "I like older men" ads in my feed.

It's not for me either, but is having an AI pretend to be your girlfriend THAT different from having an OnlyFans or E-Girl do it? Neither of them really mean it and actual women you meet in the real world take a dim view of both.

You don't need to, but the massive, massive majority of football fans have, they just have. So the question personally have is do I want to lose those connections because I'm revolted by Elon? The answers no. Should the government stop trying to reach them? I also think no.
