PSA: the word 'Mum' (capital M) is a PROPER noun (the title of a person) the word 'mum' (lower case m) is a common noun/a label/descriptor - it is not necessarily attached to person. Same with words like grandfather, nana, uncle, dad. EG "This is Coach, my dog. He acts like a coach with me."
