I highly recommend other folks make their own stink if they see something small in their city/town laws that could do with changing. Turns out it's very do-able (and very satisfying when it finally comes together)! And you will learn a lot about how your city works, too.

I first contacted then-Councilor @jake4somerville.bsky.social about the idea in *October 2023*, who pointed me at @somervilleyimby.org. 2.5 years and 2 submitted amendments later, and the council finally passed it.
