great review for a film that's bold statement is: we have Dr. Strangelove at home
Show PostEverytime I see the preview for this at the theater I think to myself just how little I want to watch this movie.
Show PostNow that you mention it, yeah that IS a director/actor duo from hell, isn't it 😭😂 And I like Inarritu, Birdman still mostly holds up I think, but yeah you can't let loose two self indulgent mofos like that unsupervised, LOL
Show PostDavid Bolen’s cinematography makes a big contribution to the film’s overall scuzzy look and feel. Will be interesting to see if it gets any awards consideration since voters usually prefer cinematography that’s photogenic and good-looking.
Show PostI'm intrigued by the nuance of it. I saw the first few episodes, and recall it was somewhat riveting. But it quickly devolved into exploitative trash TV and I never went back. Not surprised it's a bit controversial.
