Anyway, both Ukraine and Sudan were granted TPS for an “ongoing armed conflict.” By law, such TPS MUST be extended if the conflict is still ongoing. It’s not a discretionary decision. So if they DO terminate TPS post-midterms, it’s clearly illegal, but courts could do nothing.

The Trump admin is again throwing TPS recipients into limbo and threatening their jobs, by neither terminating nor extending TPS as required by law. Instead, it’s… not doing anything. It’s better than a termination but probably unlawful and confusing enough that some employers will fire people.
