I just cannot imagine a mother so full of hate for her own child that she chose the man who raped her 12-year-old daughter over her own kids then after her daughter made it through all that, the mother would pop up years later to once again try to knock her back down.

This pretty much sums it up. I used to pop into Michigan to hit the beach, camp, hike, and spend my money. But I've rediscovered how beautiful our beaches, national parks, and small businesses are. Sure, I'll always think fondly of Mackinac Island, but I feel no desire to visit again. Ever.
