Update: my wonderful, oh-so-outdoorsy wife ( @erininthemorning.com ) was not content with our mere 2-mile birdwatching hike, so we just wrapped up another 6 miles in the rattlesnake wilderness area. 8 miles of hiking after a full day of snowboarding yesterday. I'm gonna sleep like a baby tonight.

I don't normally do bird photography, but Zooey wanted to take me to this beautiful bird sanctuary area, and... I got some good ones! A robin, a tagged red-tail hawk, a mallard in flight, and a the cutest squirrel nomming a pinecone.
