Seriously though. I've been to Paris twice in recent years. Narrowly avoided a riot one of those times. Mentioned this to another Brit, she said her score was three visits, one riot. This seems par for the course.

One of my workplaces is staffed entirely by PhDs. The office kitchen has a sign by the toaster. It reads: Please do not butter bread before placing in toaster. Lemme tell you. Signs like that don’t happen because ONE person did it ONE time.
