My secrets for biking in winter weather: (1) Windproof gloves always, additional windproof balaclava when needed; (2) Remind myself that I'll only be cold for the first five minutes, before my heart rate kicks up; (3) Use public transportation/rideshare in true "oh, _****_ this!" weather. :)

Boy, the number of times I've written a complete 1000-word first draft while lying in bed, on my side the whole time, because I wanted to just capture an idea so I could work on it in the morning...! I'm grateful for the unplanned sprint of productivity. But why not have me move to a desk, brain?
