anyway I know the real answer to the question posed in my OP is that they don't actually think that, they're just reacting to a subconscious and uncontrollable feeling of discomfort from the idea of a person killing another person on purpose. Which is natural and healthy. but have some self control

This was effectively a test. The question was whether a challenge to manhood and masculinity (by association with trans and queer populations) would be repudiated entirely or responded to in the right-wing framing. The choice has been made.
Show PostIt's not really that hard to say "sex is a spectrum, people who fall outside of the binary model aren't 'abnormalities', some people change sex who gives a fuck" and get on with it, but that would require an actual commitment to opposing conservatives on this front.
