A bit of a follow-up on my last post: kind of a weird thing for me to think, given that I'm at an R1 university and love research, but (in the humanities at least) I really do believe heavily emphasizing in-person teaching is gonna be the only way we make it through the AI deluge

But that's ultimately, I think, fine, because in this new era, our "value proposition" (ugh) as humanists will be: get us in a room and we can teach you how to actually think. I think that is, and will continue to be, very very valuable. We just need systems that will support that
