I was already feeling like Barcelona was Genesis' moment to make an impact, and them qualifying 1-3 has me pretty optimistic there. As a Hyundai owner, it's pretty exciting to have a shot at an outright win somewhere.

I am not super convinced I buy this excuse, particularly not for the overall winners where Barnicoat missed the cutoff by over three minutes. Still since the #30 was on the list of cars that also didn't (though only by about 50 seconds) maybe I should just take it and move on.

Probably for the best that Nielsen didn't say this themselves, but when 12 different cars don't make the minimum drive time on a driver and the stewards NFA all of them, it'd be nice if they explained why that was* *it was because a closed pitlane meant driver changes were delayed
