Network television is written for men, often by men, and the hope is that women who watch it will absorb the idea that they want to be good little wives. The switch from sitcoms to reality TV changed the format but not much of the message.

All 2000s sitcom husbands do was be selfish, forget anniversaries, play golf, and watch “the big game” with mf popcorn and a foam finger. Meanwhile, their wives accepted the BARE minimum. Angie especially. Stand UP 😭
