Oh and the 'Racism only exists on the Right' thing needs to stop as well. Only when the Left develops the insight and the will to acknowledge their bigotry problems and stops pretending they can't have them solely because they are of the Left will they be of any use.

Minority communities in every area, with their knack for forgiveness and friendly reconciliation, are entirely responsible for whatever progress they've made. While a national conversation that in no way relates to their daily experiences obfuscated their truth. Only the white world view mattered.

I married a black Briton in the late 80s and I've raised mixed race children. Racism never went away, although white Britain nurtured a comfy myth that it had, even going so far as to perfect a well rehearsed backlash and career assassination of public figures who put their foot through that myth.

Really depressing to realise these people have almost certainly always thought this way,but now that they see their bigotries constantly mirrored by politicians, journalists and Barry on FB/X/IG, they think it's perfectly acceptable for them to voice them/act on them too.Going to be a long road back
