I decided to draw up the 'useful' map for Greater Victoria. For whatever reason service here ends an hour or more earlier on Sundays than on most weeknights (Fridays and Saturdays get later service) so only one route, the 95, meets the strict definition of half hour or better till midnight everyday

I'm always taken back by how delicate urban expressways can look in diagrams. They can almost look whispy as they thread the needle. Unfortunately, they tend to not be like that in physical reality.

Absolutely true! But this is why I get my back up when people frame rail as zero-sum passengers vs freight. Need more dedicated passenger rail/bypasses at pinch points. Doesn't have to be CN/CP bad, passengers good, as some frame it all.
