Personal level of this is hitting a lot of trans people, as "we have to go anti-trans to win the election" seeps from politicians to liberals otg. People (in our neighborhood, workplace, etc) who told us we were "brave" for years are now telling us to shut up, that our rights never mattered anyway.

also the same grubs that come out of the woodwork each time layoffs happen at a company they don't like to titter about how the devs deserve it b/c so and so -- stop. genuinely stop it.

i survived this round of layoffs at EA, but many more amazing and talented people didn't. I'm absolutely shattered, angry, and disappointed that this keeps happening. this industry shouldn't be like this. we're losing so much knowledge and talent.
