#FindsFriday undated stone head from Ynys Môn/Anglesey, which nonetheless has unusual ear holes & what appears to be a torc carved beneath its chin - both features one would not expect in a modern carving Looks OK as an Iron Age/RB head 🧐🤔 On display at the excellent Oriel Môn 👌 📷 My own

Swimming into #FindsFriday with this gorgeously detailed bronze mermaid, dated 2nd century CE. Loving the detail of the scales on her tail, and how protectively she's holding that cornucopia 🧜🏻‍♀️. 📸 us at Palacio de la Condesa de Lebrija, Seville #Sevilla #archaeology ##skystorians #ancientbluesky

Images of a V-shaped fish trap from Fishguard Harbour, Pembrokeshire/Sir Benfro, Wales. Fishguard is believed to have a Norse-derived name, Fiskigardr,“fish enclosure,”. 470 feet of the trap wall remain, the rest being destroyed by the 1900 rail line construction. #coastalhistory #muSEAum
