One of my favourite park days last year was Alton Towers Oktoberfest. Being able to take a break from rides and chill on the lawns with brilliant live music and actors creating a really lovely atmosphere is exactly what parks need sometimes, & I’m absolutely gutted that’s gone :(

RIP Oktoberfest, always a fun time to be at Alton Towers. As much as I'm excited for an extended Scarefest, it's sad to lose another event, especially after losing Mardi Gras & Festival of Thrills from the calendar last year 😥

I gave her a little drawing of herself and she loved it so much she asked me if she could keep it. I of course agreed, as long as I could get a photo of her with it. To Kyra - you gave me a smile and a happy memory that stays with me, and I hope you go on to better things. 💛

I absolutely adored Oktoberfest. It was a jolly and operationally cheap event to run. A highlight of the past few years 😭

Mine too Mark! Drove the hours up there last year after work just to catch the last two hours of entertainment. That's how good it was! I never even left the lawns. Bought drinks, dinner, a pin, a hat... I'll be devastated when we hear the inevitable 😔
