Telling people that they’re materially better off when they can see and feel that they’re one sprained ankle away from living in a tent isn’t useful. The lived experience of hundreds of thousands outweighs the actuaries’ work. And it’s their job to figure out what they’re missing and fix it.

The only problem "people" have with Somali refugees is thinking they eat cats and dogs. So passing new laws doubling down on making eating cats and dogs illegal, and a publicity campaign would surely increase acceptance, and not fuel bigotry. 🙄

I will listen to that debate all day and discuss hormone testing to ensure competitive balance. But if you think the Republican party spent 300 million dollars in ads attacking the trans community because of fairness in sports, you are blind. That is a smokescreen.
