Half of our seminars should be pre analysis plans and the other half results. Imagine if people had an up front stake in your research, and imagine getting great input before you finalize your analysis strategy. It should be the norm.

When I was at the LSE, Charles came to my office one day and asked me about modeling diurnal volatility patterns in the Olsen data. His questions changed my career as we reinvented SV to think about it and I later did work with Ole E. Barndorff-Nielsen and others on high frequency financial data.
