I have hiked the Colorado Trail and the Continental Divide Trail in Colorado. I have lived in Colorado since 1977 and have backpack to many alpine lakes whether there was a trail or not.

Second year with Women's Wilderness: a crew of 13 built a 12-foot turnpike on Herman Gulch, one of Colorado's busiest CDT segments, lifting the trail out of a muddy stretch. Three days, biodegradable glitter, a lot of laughing. Check out the before and after 👇
