Perhaps inevitably, many of the experiences of displacement chimed with me as a second-generation immigrant - more than I thought they would - but there is little doubt that East and South East Asians in the UK often get lost in conversations about race and racism. Well worth a read.
Show PostJudging a book by its cover worked out. Bought at the @ashmoleanmuseum.bsky.social shop, the only reference to the museum is one of their staff's low-key racism towards the author which starts the book and gives it its title. (Credit to the Ashmolean for stocking the book.)
