Generally self-identified. I don't think any imposter shenanigans ever happened though. Its not like there were a ton of women active on Stormfront, so many of them were known. But generally it was trusted you were who you said you were. Same with racial identification.

The Women's Forum was mainly the kinds of things white nationalists view as "woman"... such as recipes, clothing and fashion, children, etc..

Many people don't know.. but Stormfront had a Women's Forum when it was active and I was the only male allowed and welcome to post in it outside of upper staff. But it existed to protect the women from white nationalist men. Even they understand right-wing men. I rarely did though.
