Jax is stuck in denial and escapism rather than facing his demons as Leeroy had to - the antithesis of how everyone else made the best of a stagnant, awful situation. Caine also gets a lot of focus because he IS the awful situation, and the immediate need of the humans is to make it right.

The underlying idea of Leeroy at the end is to keep holding on, no matter how bad it gets, and to let others in to help you. You never know what’s on the horizon and you CAN make changes to make your life better, so don’t give into despair.

Caine’s arc can best be summed up as “You are enough”. He believed power would make him happy and make people love him; however, he had everything he needed the whole time, hence why the moon loves him. Without the Blue AI, he’s still fun, whimsical, and - his most redeeming quality - curious.
