It is very very very expensive. I thought oooh I wonder how much a Dacia Spring would be for a 1st car for my boy to insure £3k. We got him a 2008 Swift for £2k and the insurance was £800.

A thought has crossed my mind; what's EV insurance like for young drivers? (We just bought a diesel estate for 18yo to move her harp around in; there simply aren't any EVs at any price which can do what we need on that front. Insurance was a significant factor; given the performance of many EVs...?)
