The Harper's Letter people were once again full of shit. They paved the way for this to happen. They painted trans people and people of color as threats to free speech while silicon Valley oligarchs bought the media and consolidated control to censor any criticism or political opposition.

It was always projection how the right claimed censorship when there wasn't any while complicit reactionary centrists played along. Now, there's actual censorship affecting elections and those same reactionary centrists are completely silent.
